L. came home from school last week with a booklet, and yes, I mean booklet, of spelling words to be in the school spelling bee. She is a good speller, but 2 weeks to prepare hundreds of words. . .no offense, but that's crazy. L. is a fabulous speller, but she is not big on "orally" spelling words! Like mother, like daughter.
Anyway, she was nervous b/c she doesn't want to win and have to go to another school to compete again (yes, I know we are such overachievers!).
As soon as she says this, M. pipes up and says,
"So, just spell them wrong."
Where does a 6 year old get these things?
